Author · Ordained Minister · Linux & Network Tech
I write books, officiate life's big moments, and build my own tools on Linux, from bash toolboxes to a personal AI assistant that runs on your own computer.
I've been fixing computers, building networks and writing code since the dial-up days. I studied personal computer programming at Foley Belsaw Institute and later at Jackson Community College, where I made the Dean's List.
Today I run my own publishing on Linux as an author, keep a growing open-source toolbox of bash scripts, and build Valerie, a personal AI assistant that lives on your own computer. I'm also an ordained minister with the Universal Life Church and the Church of Spiritual Humanism.
Open source on GitHub. Star counts and update dates load live.
A personal AI assistant for Linux that runs on your own computer: local AI chat, separate workspaces, email, voice and hands-free talk mode, daily check-ins, and even Roku TV control.
"The Wandering Coin": my 2018 cryptocurrency, rebuilt on Bitcoin Core with HMQ1725 CPU mining, a 210M fair launch, a desktop wallet and a built-in miner. Testnet complete; main network coming soon.
Bash configs and a 29-tool command-line toolbox for Ubuntu: safety aliases, network and system scripts, one-command GitHub sync, and a dependency checker. Originally by Gary DeLaney; I've extended it since 14.04.
Scripts that make Git pushing and merging faster, plus network checks, SSH and SSHFS mounts, and folder syncing.
Hand-written HTML, CSS and a little JavaScript. No frameworks: mobile-first, accessible menu, print-ready resume.
A starting point that makes a web page friendlier on phones and tablets.
